Introducing Glenview’s New Principal

Please join the Glenview community in welcoming in our new Principal for the 2018-19 school year, Rachel Quinn. On Tuesday, June 5th from 8:30-9:30 we will host a Meet and Greet coffee with Ms. Quinn in the multi-purpose room. Ms. Quinn was interviewed and recommended by our Glenview Principal Hiring Committee. The committee is excited that she has accepted the job and feels she will be a good match for our community.

Ms. Quinn has lived in Oakland for 25 years. Her first teaching job was with 3-5 year olds at De Colores preschool in the Fruitvale district. She has worked for Oakland Unified School District for 22 years as a classroom teacher and as an instructional coach. Her passion is working with learning focused school communities and putting language acquisition at the center of all content. She has been a trainer for California Reading and Literature Project, BeGLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design), and literacy coaching labs in OUSD. She is also a mother of 2 OUSD students and lives in the Dimond district. She is so thrilled to be joining the Glenview at Santa Fe community!
